Master of Education Degree
Educational Leadership (Principal Certification K-12)
Announces its new Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership. This degree is tailored for educators who desire to become certified in educational administration and supervision. Candidates will be prepared to become effective instructional leaders and school managers in elementary, middle, and secondary settings.

FLEXIBLE COURSE OFFERINGS
With its flexible course offerings, the educational leadership program is convenient for full-time working professionals. Coursework for the M.Ed. in Educational Leadership program totals 36 hours and may be completed in less than two years with continuous enrollment of no more than two courses per term. Courses are offered in the evenings, Saturdays, and online.
Admission Requirements
3 years minimum teaching experience
Resume’, transcripts, and licensure
G.P.A. of 3.0 for the last 64 hours in undergraduate program or 3.5 in graduate program
Graduate Record Exam score or Miller’s Analogy (competitive)
Writing sample and interview
Application Deadline – July 15
Letters of support from the principal and the superintendent
Prepare for a Career in Principalship
The program prepares future administrators to carry out the day-to-day management decisions that must be addressed by successful leaders in P-12 schools. The educational leadership program is committed to the practical preparation of administrators through four landscapes:
Organizational Horizons (6 hours)
Instructional Horizons (15 hours)
Humanistic Horizons (9 hours)
Practicing Horizons (6 hours)
Cohorts
There will be two cohorts of 24 students each: Tradition Campus (Biloxi) and Hattiesburg Campus.
