Dr. Alicia Lundstrom was named dean of the School of Nursing in August 2019. She began her career in nursing education at East Central Community College in 2009 and assumed the role of Undergraduate Academic Director at William Carey University in 2016. Dr. Lundstrom is responsible for academic programs on all three campuses, including the pre-licensure BSN, LPN-BSN, RN-BSN, MSN, Ph.D., and DNP to Ph.D. programs.
Dr. Lundstrom has been instrumental in the development of new programs within the College of Health Sciences. Her areas of teaching include medical surgical nursing, informatics, and research. She currently teaches nursing coursework at the graduate and doctoral level in the School of Nursing.
Dr. Lundstrom currently serves in professional organizations on the local, regional, and national level. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society and is actively involved in the nursing community, serving as student advisor for the state Associate Degree nursing student organization, former president and current active member of District 15 Mississippi Nurses Association, and serves on advisory boards for various healthcare facilities. She also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Mississippi Nurses Foundation and chairs the research committee for the Southern Regional Education Board Council on Collegiate Education for Nursing.
