Joe Hartfield is an instructor in William Carey’s Department of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation. A native of Hattiesburg, he has served as an educator since 1997. Prior to joining the faculty of William Carey University, he was a teacher and served as a coach at Richton High School (1997-98), Lumberton High School (1998-04), George County High School (2004-06), and Hattiesburg High School (2006-21).
Joe earned a Master of Education degree and a Specialist of Education degree at William Carey University. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education degree in Higher Education Administration. As his daughter and mother are also WCU graduates, Joe has great admiration for the university’s values and principles. He is now grateful to be part of an exceptional team in the Education Department. Joe most enjoys training his border collies and spending time with his wife Ginger, daughter Madison, and son Miller.
