Message From Dean

We are off to a busy start in the Winters School of Music. We welcomed 45 freshmen music majors this fall! The halls of and practice rooms in Thomas Fine Arts are alive with the sounds of singers, trumpet players, pianists, violinists, and just about any other instrument you can imagine. We are excited about the year ahead. I have listed several of the recitals and concerts that we will be hosting between now and Christmas. I hope you will take the opportunity to attend a concert or a recital.

Also, we welcome two new faculty members. Dr. Kimberle Moon McKee will be teaching in the voice areas and Mr. Jim Pierce will be taking over for Dr. Paul Cotton in the music therapy area. Both of these highly qualified professors have already contributed in significant ways to the School of Music. We are indeed blessed to have them.

Carey is an exciting place to be these days. All over campus there is a sense of purpose. I hope that you will join us on campus throughout the year for concerts, ball games, theatre productions and other activities that feature our highly talented students.

The Lord Bless You and Keep You
