BankPlus Senior Vice President to Speak at William Carey University Christian Leadership Lecture

Hattiesburg, MS, September 22, 2008 - BankPlus senior vice president and director of minority business development Debra Barnes McGee will speak at the Christian Leadership Lecture Monday, October 6 at 9:30 a.m. in the Smith Auditorium on the Hattiesburg campus of William Carey University.

At BankPlus, McGee is responsible for developing and implementing programs, products and initiatives geared toward minority businesses in all the communities BankPlus serves and as Nissan Project Manager, working with Nissan North America to implement services and products for BankPlus.

McGee graduated from WCU with a bachelor of science in business administration and data processing in 1982 and received certificates of banking from the American Institute of Banking and the University of Mississippi School of Banking.

President of the West Jackson Rotary Club, she received the
2007 District Service Award and was named one of the Top 50 Leading Business Women in 2004. A member of the Jackson Metro Chamber of Commerce, McGee received the Financial Women International Woman of the Year Award and was the 2007 Dress for Success Women of Strength Award recipient.

McGee is the first speaker in the 2008-2009 series. In 2007-2008, speakers included former Mayor of Hattiesburg Bobby Chain, Christian radio host and physician Dr. Daniel Edney of Vicksburg, "Green Acres" actor Tom Lester of Laurel, and WDAM sports director Mitch Williams.
