College Choice has ranked William Carey University’s Master of Education program as #14 in the country.

Busy educators who want to put aside time to deepen their expertise might not be able to add a new commute to their lives in order to go to night classes. Online education degrees provide educators with the flexibility to thrive in their current jobs and complete a new, career-advancing degree.

The William Carey University Honor Band Clinic will present a concert series March 2-4 at the historic Saenger Theatre in downtown Hattiesburg.

“We are blessed to have this opportunity to perform at the Saenger Theater and grateful to the leadership of Main Street Methodist Church and the historic Saenger Theatre for making this a reality,” said Wes Dykes, coordinator of instrumental activities. One of the bands will rehearse at Main Street Methodist Church.

WCU’s Thomas Fine Arts Center was one of the buildings severely damaged during the tornado that hit campus on Jan. 21. The Winters School of Music is conducting classes at Hardy Street Baptist Church until the repairs on Thomas Hall are complete. Dykes said the Carey Honor Band Clinic, celebrating its fifth year, has become an event anticipated by students and directors all across the region.
