William Carey University to Offer Cheerleading Camp for Children

Hattiesburg, MS, June 24, 2008 - The William Carey Co-ed Cheerleading Squad will host a Cheerleading Critter Camp on Monday, July 21, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon for children ages seven through twelve in the Clinton Gymnasium on the Hattiesburg campus.

Open to both boys and girls, the camp will focus on basic cheerleading skills, leadership and school spirit. The cost of $25 includes t-shirt and activities. Members of the Crusader Cheerleading Squad and Melissa Puckett, cheerleading coach and director of the students government association, will instruct the camp. The camp will be held in the air conditioned gym.

“We already have almost 40 children signed up for the camp,” said Puckett. “We are so excited.” The camp is limited to 65 children.
