Asbury Foundation CEO Speaks at WCU New Orleans Graduation

New Orleans, La., August 7, 2012 - William “Bill” K. Ray, president and CEO of the Asbury Foundation of Hattiesburg, Inc., spoke at William Carey University’s commencement ceremony for students on the New Orleans campus on August 3, in Leavell Chapel at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. This graduation was one of the four ceremonies WCU held August 3-4, with nearly 400 students graduating.

Mr. Ray was formerly president and CEO of Wesley Health Systems. He was named South Mississippi Top 10 Business Leader in 2005, Administrator of the Year by the National United Hospital Wesleyan Association in 1995, and Healthcare Executive of the Year by the Mississippi Affiliates of American College of Healthcare Executives in 1994. Mr. Ray is a member of the WCU Board of Trustees, the Board of Directors for Fellowship of Christian Athletes for the Pine Belt Area, the Hattiesburg Rotary Club, a life fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and an active member of First Baptist Church. He received the Hub Award in 2011 for outstanding contributions to the community, commitment to excellence and dedication to public service.
