Miss WCU Held Trunk Show
Hattiesburg, Miss., June 22, 2012 - Miss William Carey University Kenna Spiller previewed her competition wardrobe and talent during a campus trunk show on Thursday, June 21, in the Lucile Parker Gallery. Lacey Cofield Bolling, Miss WCU 2006, served as emcee for the trunk show, describing competition outfits and giving background information on the Miss Mississippi pageant. Spiller will represent Carey June 27-30 at the 2012 Miss Mississippi Pageant in Vicksburg.
A sophomore elementary major from Petal, Spiller is a Carey Scholar, plays flute with the WCU orchestra, and works as an after-school counselor at the Petal Family YMCA. She is the daughter of Jay and Carolyn Spiller, and her career ambition is to become a kindergarten teacher. Spiller's platform for Miss Mississippi is "Smiling Through Scoliosis,"; and she will play piano for her talent.
