WCU Holds Induction for English Honor Society

Hattiesburg, Miss., November 27, 2012 - Seven William Carey University students were formally inducted into the WCU Chapter of Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society on November 14 on WCU’s Hattiesburg campus. Established in 1924 to confer distinction for high achievement in English language, literature, and writing, Sigma Tau Delta invites members to join based on academic excellence.

The 2012 Sigma Tau Delta inductees were Autumn Barnard of Laurel, Nancy Barnard of Laurel, Randi Clark of Purvis, Amanda Gwin of Moselle, Alyssa Keyes of Ringgold, Ga., Natalie McMillen of Hattiesburg and Danielle Walters of Carriere. Faculty sponsor is Edison Williams, instructor of philosophy and language and literature, and co-sponsor is Dolores O’Mary, administrative assistant for language and literature. Officers elected for the 2012-13 year are Alyssa Keyes, president, and Alex Parker, vice-president.
