Hattiesburg, Miss., October 30, 2013 - William Carey University’s men’s basketball program is offering a free basketball clinic for boys ages 8-13 on November 2 in Clinton Gymnasium on the Hattiesburg Campus. The men’s basketball team is partnering with the Hattiesburg Police Department and Grace Temple Ministries to conduct the clinic, which will run from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

The clinic is part of WCU implementing the NAIA Champions of Character program which promotes the core values of respect, integrity, sportsmanship, servant leadership, and responsibility.

“This project is a great way for our men’s basketball team to give back to our community and use the abilities they have been blessed with to bless others,” said Scotty Fletcher, assistant men’s basketball coach and director of Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

The clinic will allow 50 participants to sign up on a first-come, first-served basis. To register, call (601) 264-0593. Lunch will be provided as part of the clinic.
