WCU Professor Gave King James Bible Exhibit Lecture
Dr. Daniel C. Browning, professor of religion at William Carey University, gave a lecture titled "Covering the Feet: Scatological References in the King James Bible" on January 30, at 7 p.m. in the Kresge Room of Thomas Business Building at WCU. The lecture correlated with activities surrounding the traveling exhibition, Manifold Greatness: The Creation and Afterlife of the King James Bible, that WCU is currently housing in the Sarah Gillespie Museum. A discussion followed the lecture. The exhibition is celebrating the 400th anniversary of the first printing of the King James Bible in 1611 and examining its fascinating and complex history. The library is sponsoring free programs and other events for the public in connection with the exhibition.
