Study Travel & Excavation Program

Directed by Daniel C. Browning, Jr., Professor of Religion and History

The Study Travel and Excavation Program (STEP) combines intensive, student-oriented study travel in Biblical Lands with participation in the archaeological excavation of a Biblical site. A typical program includes an extensive travel program in Israel, preceded by a brief visit to another country with biblical associations, and followed by three to four weeks at an archaeological dig in Israel. Because of the political situation, STEP has not included travel to Israel or an excavation experience in recent years.
