Student, faculty and staff stakeholders from across the region will participate in strategic planning, develop approaches to guide curriculum revision planning, and identify potential themes within our curriculum. External data sources include the COCA Self-Study Report and the formal COCA accreditation report. Internal data sources include focus groups, interviews, surveys and content analysis of existing institutional records. Work groups will also review successful approaches piloted at other medical schools.
The ongoing revision process will be led by a core committee charged with ensuring that ongoing attention is paid to continuous curriculum improvement. The committee will be responsible for high-level visioning of the overarching goals, objectives and outcomes of the curriculum with a robust mechanism for continuous monitoring and adjustments of content, education practices and outcomes.
