WCU SGA Names 2014-2015 Officers
Hattiesburg, Miss., March 26, 2014 - The Student Government Association (SGA) at William Carey University inducted officers for the 2014-2015 academic year on February 10 in the Sarah Gillespie Museum of Art. The SGA, advised by Emily Sheckells, student activities director, is led by a council elected by the student body. The SGA serves as the liaison between students and university administration, while offering students various activities and events to enhance their college experience.
2013-2014 SGA President Brooke Morgan led the ceremony to induct the new officers. The new officers are Lydia Ulrich of Moss Point, president; Austin Farmer of Hattiesburg, vice-president; Andrew Coleman of Pascagoula, secretary; Mary Hannah Lott of Hattiesburg, treasurer; Miles Deaton of Hattiesburg, chief justice; Caitlin Cooksey of Collinsville, chief of staff/senior representative; Joshree Shrestha of Kathmandu, Nepal, commissioner of elections; Sean Laird of Gulfport, entertainment commissioner; Victoriana Lopez of Carriere, public relations commissioner; Wyatt Lindsey of Verona, commissioner of student affairs; McKayla Strebeck of Seminary, justice; Kirestian White of Collins, justice; Johnny Walters of Braxton, justice; John Taylor Wesley of Columbia, justice; Ryan Lott of Pearl, justice; Telea Wade-Lahart of Raleigh, N.C., senior representative, and Chamapuwa Tinago of Harare, Zimbabwe, international representative.
