Carey students to perform at Southeast Trombone Symposium
William Carey University Winters School of Music students Tyler Greer and Kyle Dykes were elected as performers for the Southeast Trombone Symposium being held June 22-27 at Columbus State University in Georgia. They will participate in lectures, master classes, and recitals with some of the world's leading trombone performers and educators.
Dykes is a senior music education major from Purvis and Greer is a sophomore music performance major from Philadelphia, MS.
This year the STS world-class faculty will consist of but is not limited to Colin Williams and George Curran (New York Philharmonic), Nathan Zgonc (Atlanta Symphony Orchestra), Bill Thomas (Tonhalle-Orchestra in Zurich), and James Markey from the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
