Winter Preview & Arts Day
William Carey University’s Hattiesburg campus will host Winter Preview & Arts Day on Friday, Jan. 13. This is an event for prospective students as well students who have already applied to WCU.
After check-in from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. at King Student Center, WCU President Dr. Ben Burnett will welcome attendees.
The event includes two information sessions—one for students and one for parents. Students will meet with current WCU students to ask questions about campus life and learn more about the Carey experience. Parents are encouraged to attend Winter Preview & Arts Day because the parent Q&A session with WCU administrators is a chance to ask questions and learn more about the university.
Faculty members from various departments will host booths at a “Meet Your Major” session later in the day. Students and parents can investigate various majors and meet with department representatives. Campus tours will be available. Admissions counselors will be on hand to assist as needed.
Faculty members will also conduct auditions and portfolio reviews in these areas:
- Art (painting, drawing, ceramics, graphic design)
- Dance
- Journalism
- Music (instrumental and vocal)
- Speech and debate
