Aug. 22: WCU Fall Registration

William Carey University’s fall term starts Monday, Aug. 26, at campuses in Hattiesburg, Biloxi and Baton Rouge, La.

Walk-in, open registration will be Thursday, Aug. 22. Admissions staff will be available from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. New students can meet with faculty advisors and register for fall classes.

The fall 2024 term marks the second year of WCU’s “Making College Affordable” program. For undergraduate students, it means low tuition, free textbooks, and an average increase of 40 percent in academic scholarship amounts over pre-2023 levels.

“In my office, we see thousands of students every year, and every one of them has a dream to go out into the world and do something amazing. Often, those students don’t know if they can afford college,” said Dean Pace, director of financial aid.

“My team’s job is to reach out and make sure they’re aware of all the assistance available – help remove the barriers between them and the future they envision.”

The “Making College Affordable” program was among Dr. Ben Burnett’s first priorities when he was named WCU president in 2022.

“We want everyone to have the option of choosing a Christian higher education. This program makes that possible for many more students. We don’t ever want financial hardship to prevent a student from enrolling at Carey,” Burnett said.

Prospective fall students need not wait for open registration on Aug. 22. They can start the process at any time by applying online at www.wmcarey.edu/admissions.

Late registration will be Aug. 26-30.
