Dining Dollars

Dining Dollars are a currency that can be purchased through your THDSS Housing Portal under the Meal Plan & Dining Dollars tab. You can use financial aid to purchase Dining Dollars IF you have federal or state aid that results in you having a credit balance. If you are only receiving institutional aid (ie. Scholarships or tuition waivers) you may not purchase Dining Dollars with your Financial Aid. If you are unsure if your aid is considered institutional or federal, please contact finaid@wmcarey.edu before making any voluntary purchases. If you are only receiving institutional funds, additional voluntary charges of Dining Dollars will be the responsibility of the student to pay out of pocket. After refunds process during week 3 of the current term, you will no longer be able to use any financial aid to purchase Dining Dollars. After initially purchasing Dining Dollars, you must wait 24 hours before being able to use the dollars. Please note that additional dining dollars added to your account after refunds are processed or your balance is paid in full must be paid before registering for a future term.
