William Carey University has become a home away from home. From the first day I stepped on campus, the faculty and staff have welcomed me and seen the potential in me. I know that WCU has better equipped me to be a future leader.

My time at Carey has really helped me define who I am as an individual. Carey’s cordial environment along with great inspiring faculty and wonderful students allowed me to grow academically, socially and spiritually. Even as an international student, I felt right at home. Carey was everything I hoped for and more.

I came to William Carey University as an international student in the Fall of 2013 and my life took a complete turn ever since. I could develop myself as a person by getting involved in numerous leadership programs and college activities. I could build close relationships with my friends, professors and staff while my time on-campus. With each opportunity I grabbed in Carey, I became more polished as an individual. This quality that Carey has provided to me as a student is commendable and I would consider myself blessed to be a part of the Carey family. I had an opportunity to serve the Hattiesburg community as a Pharmacy Technician in Walgreens as well. Currently, I work at Inova Fairfax Hospital Emergency in the Patient Registration department. Working in health facility is always rewarding to me and I aspire to join Pharmacy School as my next step.

I have t been here at Carey for two trimesters, but I already feel like I am a part of the Carey family. The home-like atmosphere here helped me to adapt easily even though I am an international student. The teachers and the staff members are wonderful and give you moral support in every step of your way. Carey teaches you everything you need to learn, not only academically, but spiritually as well.
