Program Overview

The Master of Education offers the following specialized concentrations fully online: elementary, secondary, mild/moderate disabilities, and emotional and behavioral disorders. The program is designed to prepare individuals for careers in professional education.

Degree Requirements

The academic requirements for a Master of Education degree consist of 30 semester hours from three categories:(1) professional education, (2) specialized concentrations, and (3) electives. Additional courses beyond those listed below will be required for students who seek an advanced license in an area different from their education bachelor’s degree, as determined by the academic advisor.

Professional Education

All degree curricula (with exception of the Master of Arts in Teaching, Dyslexia, IAA) require the professional core:
