Thomas presented Bryant Memorial Scholarship
Katelee Thomas of McComb was awarded the Therman Bryant Scholarship from the Mississippi Baptist Convention’s Board of Ministerial Education. Thomas is a senior psychology major.
This scholarship was established in 1977 by the cooperative missions department of the Mississippi Baptist Convention board and is funded by gifts from the Bryant family and friends. Therman Bryant was dean of Clarke College from 1956 until 1965. At that time, he went to work for the Mississippi Baptist Convention in the cooperative missions department, where his primary responsibilities were in the area of student ministries at the four Mississippi Baptist Colleges.
The annual scholarship of $1,000 is to be used for educational expenses. Thomas was selected for the award based on recommendations by the faculty and staff of William Carey University.
