Katelee Thomas crowned Homecoming Queen 2018
Katelee Thomas was crowned the 2018 William Carey University homecoming queen during the homecoming court presentation Friday, April 20 prior to the Crusaders softball game against Blue Mountain.
Thomas, a senior psychology major, is the daughter of Chad and Kathlena Thomas of McComb.
During her time at Carey, Thomas has participated in Grace Notes, Spirit of Carey, Jazz Band, Carey Company, and Concert Band. She has served on SGA for three years as freshman representative, sophomore representative, elections commissioner, and vice president. She served on Carey Connection for two years and is a work study in the psychology department and the biblical studies department. She is also a tutor at United Christian Academy.
Thomas is a member of Alpha Chi Honor Society and recipient of the Therman Bryant Memorial Scholarship. She was voted class beauty her freshman and senior year, and was recognized as the 2018 Outstanding Psychology Student. In 2016, she was selected as Pike County Miss Hospitality and Civic Award winner.
She was recently accepted into the Master of Social Work program at The University of Southern Mississippi for fall 2018.
