WCU Celebrates Christmas

Hattiesburg, Miss., December 12, 2012 - William Carey University hosted a Christmas dinner in Wilkes Dining Hall followed by the annual “Christmas Vespers and Hanging of the Green ” service in Smith Auditorium in the Thomas Fine Arts Center on December 6.

Presented by the WCU Chorale, the Vespers service was a celebration of the Advent of Christ. It featured Christmas carols, performances by the instrumental ensemble, and scripture readings, telling the Christmas Story. After the Vespers service, students, faculty, staff, and guests exited the auditorium in a candlelight processional to WCU’s Chain Garden for carols and a campus sparkling in holiday lights.
