WCU to Host Concert Featuring the Miracles Choir

William Carey University will host a concert featuring the Baddour Center’s nationally recognized choir, The Miracles, on Thursday, March 1, at 7 p.m. in Smith Auditorium. The Baddour Center is a unique community in Senatobia where nearly 200 adults with intellectual disabilities live with their peers in group homes or shared apartments. Residents audition to be one of the 24 members of The Miracles, who travel around country and perform approximately 90 concerts a year. The group has been honored with invitations to perform at such venues as the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., at the request of Sen. Trent Lott, while maintaining a full schedule of weekly performances at churches and other venues throughout the South. The public is invited to attend the concert, and admission is free.
