WCU Tradition Campus to Hold Super Saturday
Tradition, Miss., July 16, 2013 - William Carey University’s Tradition Campus located off Highway 67 in Biloxi will host 2013 Super Saturday for new students, both incoming freshmen and transfers, on July 20 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Students who have been approved for admission are invited to attend.
Super Saturday gives students and their parents a glimpse into university life and offers information on admissions, financial aid and student life. Sign-in will be held in B Building from 11-11:30 a.m. with a welcome and orientation session following. Lunch will be provided, and from 1-4 p.m., all departments will hold advisement and registration.
Students planning to attend the Tradition Campus who register for Fall 2013 classes during Super Saturday qualify to receive one of two scholarships: incoming freshmen will receive a $2,400 scholarship upgrade ($600 per year for 4 years), and transfer students will receive a $1,200 scholarship upgrade ($600 per year for 2 years). These upgrades apply to merit-based, church-related vocations and talent scholarships.
WCU’s Tradition Campus is also offering a new Saturday Business Program that will be available beginning Fall 2013. Offered for the convenience of working individuals, the program will be offered on Saturdays and will allow students to complete a B.S. in Business degree with a concentration in Management/Marketing. Students will take 3 courses each trimester: two in an on-line hybrid format that will meet three times during the trimester, and one that will meet in the classroom each week. If a student has completed all general education requirements and enters the program with 64 hours of transfer credit, they will be able to complete the program in two years. Financial aid is available for qualified students.
