The William Carey University Office of Admissions will host Early Registration Day for the fall term at both the Hattiesburg campus and the Tradition campus in Biloxi from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Friday, July 17.
Early Registration Day offers new students the opportunity to meet with admissions personnel and faculty advisors, visit key offices, register for classes and tour the university. The fall term begins on August 24 and runs through October 28.

The William Carey University Center for Creative Scholars will host the Full S.T.E.A.M. Ahead! Creativity Exploration Camp for students in grades two through eight at the Hattiesburg campus from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. on July 21-23.
During the camp, students will explore their creative potential through activities in science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics. The camp will engage participants through critical thinking and problem-solving with a creative arts emphasis.

William Carey University offices will be closed on Friday, July 3 in observation of the Independence Day holiday.
No day or night classes will meet. This closing applies to both the main campus in Hattiesburg and the Tradition campus in Biloxi.
Offices will reopen and second summer term classes will begin on Monday, July 6.

The 40th anniversary season of Carey Dinner Theatre continues with “Beehive,” a musical tribute to popular female singers of the 1960s, from July 7-18 in the Joe and Virginia Tatum Theatre on the Hattiesburg campus of William Carey University.

William Carey University recently received a gift of $100,000 from Dr. Lynn McMahan, founder of Southern Eye Center in Hattiesburg, and his wife, Marty, to support the university's new Doctor of Physical Therapy program.
"We thank the McMahans for their generous gift that further enhances Hattiesburg as a medical center in the state," said Dr. Tommy King, Carey president.

Individuals interested in pursuing a Mississippi teacher's license through the alternate route can take the two necessary courses during the five-week second summer term in July and August at William Carey University.
The courses, including classroom management and tests, measurements and evaluations, will meet beginning the week of July 6 and will end the week of August 7. In order to become licensed, teacher candidates must successfully complete both courses and have passing scores on both the Praxis Core and Praxis II examinations.

Students interested in taking courses in a five-week format during July and early August may still register for the second summer term at both campuses of William Carey University.
The second summer term will begin on July 6 and run through August 7. Undergraduate courses in history, English, Spanish, business, education, health, music, biology, chemistry and psychology are available at the Hattiesburg campus while undergraduate courses in art and English are offered on the Tradition campus in Biloxi.
