The Office of Christian Development and Church Relations has a twofold purpose:
- to reach students for Christ and to equip students to reach others for Christ through the Baptist Student Union
- to serve as a liaison between William Carey University and the churches and entities of the Mississippi Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention by providing training and helpful resources and by promoting good relations
