The Office of the Provost is responsible for providing general oversight to the vice presidents of academic affairs, student support, and institutional effectiveness; the directors of admissions, alumni relations, the Baptist Student Union, the bivocational center; financial aid, information technology, international admissions; and the coordinators of e-learning and marketing.
In addition, our office manages university branding, maintains the university calendar, and schedules use of non-academic campus space. Furthermore, our office manages approvals for international travel, grants, and funded research. Our office plays an important role in promoting good relations with the community, the Mississippi Baptist Convention, associations, and churches. Annually, the Provost’s office produces the Carey Pulpit which includes sermon outlines, and bi-monthly the Carey Family Newsletter.
