Current Programs
The RN to BSN dual-enrollment program allows students seeking an advanced career in nursing to fast-track their studies by beginning the Carey RN to BSN program online while completing the ADN at their chosen community college. Carey’s RN to BSN program equips RNs with the tools necessary to stay current in the ever-evolving healthcare field, make clinical and operational decisions based on evidence-based practice, and prepare for their graduate nursing studies.
General Applicant Prerequisites & Requirements
Participation in the RN to BSN program will ensure that prospective students meet all of the following requirements for Carey’s RN to BSN program:
Be enrolled in a nationally accredited associate degree or diploma program in the final two semesters/terms of the program
Complete application for general admission to William Carey University and pay all necessary fees, along with submission of all supporting documents required by the University.
Have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or better on all courses taken toward meeting the nursing degree requirements. A grade average of “C” or better is required in each pre/co-requisite course
Be compliant with all health status requirements
Submit a 10-panel drug screen with “Negative”
Submit a notarized healthcare criminal background check
Be compliant with all Castelbranch requirements
Meet any additional requirements specified for their program of interest (see programs for more info)
The HIM program is entirely online and attracts diverse learners who desire to open career opportunities through higher education. Our dedicated HIM faculty strive to see our students grow each semester through the curriculum, building upon their HIM skills and knowledge as a strong foundation for their new career path in HIM.
General Applicant Prerequisites & Requirements
Participation in the Health Information Management program will ensure that prospective students meet all of the following requirements for Carey’s HIM program:
Complete application for general admission to William Carey University and pay all necessary fees, along with submission of all supporting documents required by the University.
Have a minimum GPA of 2.6.
Submit a completed HIM program application.
Complete an unofficial transcript evaluation with the HIM program director
Meet all prerequisite course requirements with a C or better in each course (list of required prerequisite courses can be provided by program director).
Provide evidence of a clear criminal background check and negative drug screen.
Provide evidence of immunization compliance and history of physical examination prior to professional practice experience.
The Health Administration & Education dual-enrollment program allows students seeking unique non-practitioner careers in the healthcare field to fast-track their degree by beginning the Carey HAE program online while completing their associate-level studies at their chosen community college. Carey’s HAE program prepares students to educate entry-level practitioners as well as function as leaders and managers in a variety of health-related areas including hospitals, outpatient clinics, government and volunteer agencies, businesses, and industry.
General Applicant Prerequisites & Requirements
Participation in the Health Administration & Education program will ensure that prospective students meet all of the following requirements for Carey’s HAE program:
Complete application for general admission to William Carey University and pay all necessary fees, along with submission of all supporting documents required by the University.
Have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or better on all courses taken toward meeting the HAE degree requirements. A grade of C or better is required in each pre/co-requisite course.
Be compliant with all health status requirements

Be compliant with all Castlebranch requirements
Hold an associate degree in a health-related field, be registered or licensed in a health-related field, be certified, OR have an associate’s equivalent in a non-health field.
