Our Services
The Student Counseling Center provides free, confidential counseling services to the students here at William Carey University. Our goal is to promote an environment of holistic wellness while offering the necessary resources for you to pursue your educational and life goals.
While in counseling, students will learn techniques to resolve issues related to anger, anxiety, codependency, depression, stress, and grief. Our therapeutic philosophy is that in life everyone has problems, and all problems have solutions. Everyone can learn to solve problems, no matter how big or small. Our intention is to offer human compassion and respect as we work to help students look at their issues critically and without judgment. Most students find only a few sessions are needed to address their concerns. If longer-term counseling is needed, your therapist will discuss this with you.
