William Carey University Transition to Semester Calendar Effective Fall 2025
On April 25, 2024, William Carey University’s Board of Trustees approved a transition from the current trimester calendar to a semester-based calendar. This change will take effect in Fall 2025.
William Carey University is dedicated to supporting both current and prospective students during this period, ensuring the continued provision of an excellent educational experience. Students are encouraged to prepare for this transition and may contact their advisors with questions about their program of study.

A few of our doctoral programs require different applications from the one described below. If you are attempting to apply for one of following programs, please use the links provided here instead of continuing the steps below:
Start the Process & Gather Information
In order to be considered for graduate admission, all applicants must:
- Review the requirements specific to your program or degree in the Graduate Catalog
- Complete the graduate admissions application
- A complete and official academic transcript from each college previously attended. An official transcript is defined as one sent directly from one institution to another. It bears the institution's seal, the signature of the registrar, and the date of issuance. Digital transcripts are the preferred method, though we accepted mailed transcripts as well. We do not accept hand-delivered transcripts. If an email address is required to submit a request from the institution you attended, please use the following: graduateadmissions@wmcarey.edu.
Submit Your Application
You will need your physical address, education history, email addresses and contact information for references, and a payment method for your application fee to submit your application.
Once your application has been reviewed, we will let you know if you need to submit additional information.
Submit Necessary Documentation
Once your application is submitted you will receive an email notification informing you of the documents and any other additional information you need to have sent to William Carey.
