Educational Leadership
The Master of Education in Educational Leadership (Administrative Certification) is designed to prepare school leaders to be caring, reflective decision makers. This program will equip candidates to be change agents for positively impacting students’ lives socially, emotionally, and academically. With flexible course offerings, this program is convenient for full-time working professionals. Classes are designed to help prepare students to be successful on the School Leadership Licensure Assessment (SLLA) exam.
Program Overview
Hours
This program is 30 hours and may be completed in four terms or 12 months.
Delivery Method
Instruction in the program is delivered in an online/virtual format. Each term students will take two or three classes. Two classes are 100% online and one of the classes will meet virtually three Saturday mornings per term. Each candidate will earn 300 internship hours through specific Embedded assignments throughout the four terms. William Carey uses Canvas as the learning management system for online coursework that is perfect for the working student who wants to take their education to the next level.
Applicant Prerequisites & Requirements
Prospective students must:
Complete an online application & pay application fee
Submit official copies of all transcripts to Graduate Admissions via eScript
Provide two recommendations from past or current supervisors
Hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
Provide a copy of standard five-year license
Have a GPA of 3.0 minimum GPA in an undergraduate program
Provide documentation verifying at least three years of teaching experience
Submit a 1-2 page scholarly narrative of your personal philosophy of educational leadership
