SaderWatch, powered by Everbridge, is the emergency notification system for William Carey University. In the event of an emergency, an e-mail message will be sent to the campus e-mail address of all faculty, staff and students containing threat specific information. If you wish to receive text messages, voice calls, or mobile app notifications, you must register for this service.

WCU students, faculty, and staff are automatically enrolled to receive SaderWatch alerts delivered by e-mail. Residential students are also registered to receive alerts via text message.  To change alerting preferences, including the addition of text and voicemail alerts, visit https://wmcarey.onelogin.com/trust/saml2/http-post/sso/8dd4f036-10e3-4ce4-9f19-0dd0a5720ffb and select the use my network credential button.   Login with your current WCU username and password. You must be currently enrolled or employed by the university to register for this service.

There is no cost for an individual who has registered for these alerts; however, your cell phone carrier might charge you to receive text messages, so please check your plan.

When we issue a notification about a potential safety hazard or concern, you will receive a message on the voice or text communication methods that you have registered. If requested for the notification, you can confirm that you have received the message and you will not be contacted by any subsequent methods regarding that particular notification. If you do not confirm, the system will continue to attempt to reach you at all of the contact paths that you have registered.

You will receive emergency notifications regarding campus safety and/or security concerns, and class cancellation or campus closing notifications that are triggered by university administrators. In addition, you will receive automated tornado warnings issued by the National Weather Service. You may also elect to receive additional automated National Weather Service notifications at your discretion.

Yes, WCU is using a service provider that works will all major cell phone providers. Text messages will be sent to your carrier for delivery to your phone. While it is extremely unlikely that you would not receive a SaderWatch message, signal strength and other issues with your carrier could impact delivery to your phone.

Nothing. You will still receive alerts so long as you have the same phone number.

You will need to update your contact preferences so that you can resume receiving alerts.
