William Carey University offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Forensic Science with an emphasis in one of the following areas: Criminal Justice, Biology or Chemistry .

The Forensic Science Program is housed in the Department of Criminal Justice and is 120 credit hours. The Program is designed to prepare students for work in the field of forensic science and investigations in a variety of positions such as crime scene investigator, crime lab analyst, forensic technician, and more.

The program is 120 hours and can be completed in less than 4 years for incoming freshman and less than 2 years for students transferring from a community college.


Delivery Method

The Forensic Science program is offered fully on-site and in hybrid format at both our Hattiesburg campus and our Tradition campus.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (Sept 2022), the job outlook in the field of forensic science shows an 11% growth over the next decade which is slightly higher than other job outlooks.
