Pharmacy School under construction
Construction continues on the proposed William Carey University School of Pharmacy (at right) and the new academic building (left) at the Tradition campus. The School of Pharmacy anticipates its inaugural class starting in July 2018, pending approval for Precandidate Status from the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education. The school will provide a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree that will further enhance the Mississippi Gulf Coast’s economic competitiveness in the region. As Mississippi seeks to address the shortage of health care professionals in rural communities, the pharmacy school will help attract and retain health care workers as well as other types of businesses to the Gulf Coast.
